UWL Men's Track and Field is excited to announce that a number of our athletes are developing into elite competitors in their events.
The program is looking for your support in funding opportunities to send them to national/elite competitions that extend beyond NCAA D3 competitions.
Thank you for the support that has already helped us subsidize the USATF Indoor Championship Meet costs for Sam Blaskowski and Coach Matt Gordy. Sam ended up finishing in 5th place at this meet competing against professionals and other DI and DII athletes.
We would like the opportunity to send athletes to meets like, Mt. Sac Relays in California, Drake Relays in Iowa, Kansas Relays, and we have an eye on USATF Outdoor Championships as well.
Your support would go towards entry fees, airline flights, lodging, meals, and ensuring athletes have their coach at the competition. Gifts to this campaign will be used exclusively for elite meet travel and expenses. We estimate that we need to raise $5,000.
This team is young and talented, so we would like to provide these opportunities to our elite competitors for as long as we have this caliber of talent. This is a great opportunity UWL T/F to develop national attention and notoriety, give our athletes exceptional experiences, and continue to attract future elite athletes to our program.
