Our Crowdfunding Groups
The Women of Color Scholarship was created in the 2017-2018 academic year. It is one of the first student-led campaigns in the history of our campus. It was created by UWL’s Student Association to increase retention rates of women of color on our campus who are disadvantaged both by their race and gender. This scholarship helps to support the women of color on our campus by providing a scholarship to aid with the hefty costs of higher education. Our ultimate goal is to have the scholarship become an endowment. An endowment would ensure that for years and years to come we can continue to show support for the women of color on our campus.
